Mark McNaughton shakes a handful of pellets across the dark water and watches it start to roil. The placid surface hiding hundreds of sleek tilapia explodes with a slap and splatter. Almost as quickly, the fish slip back down to the bottom of the tank; only the paler ones remain visible, ghostlike under the water.

Ads Comparing Salmon Farming to Smoking Immature, Industry Says

Environment Canada is continuing its investigation into how lobsters in Grand Manan, and Deer Island were exposed to the agricultural pesticide cypermethrin.The Saint Croix Courier was the first to report on the investigation Jan. 12 after a number of dead lobsters were found in traps in Grand Manan, Pocologan and Deer Island late last year.
