The Chilean producer companies exported salmon for USD 1,201.1 million as of October 2009, result leaded by AquaChile with USD 121 million and a market share of 10 per cent; and followed by Mainstream with USD 110.7 million and a 9.2 per cent market share.
According to the financial journal Estrategia, the third position of that ranking correspond to Marine Harvest, which exported USD 110.3 million with a 9.1 per cent of the market share over that period, reports Fishfarmingxpert.
Moreover and taking into account just October, Chilean salmon exports totalized USD 89.1 million being leaded by Marine Harvest with USD 10.2 million exported in that month and a market share of 11.4 per cent; followed by AquaChile, with USD 7.7 million exported and an 8.6 per cent market participation; and Camanchaca, which exported USD 7.3 million with a 8.2 per cent market share.
